Client: Amprion GmbH
As part of the expansion of the A-Nord power corridor, Koop Dewatering and its Special Projects Team are working on the NRW1 section. The approximately 73-kilometre section is part of the 300-kilometre overall route that is to transport wind power from the north to the industrial south of Germany – a key infrastructure project for the energy transition.
Technical implementation:
- Execution of demanding dewatering work to create cable trenches up to 2 meters deep
- Installation of 6 empty conduits per trench section for subsequent cable laying
- Targeted groundwater management to ensure dry, safe construction conditions
- Use of mobile systems for sustainable and efficient water lowering along the route
Challenges and solutions:
The challenge lies in the exact coordination of the construction work with the changing ground conditions and the extensive schedule. Thanks to forward-looking planning, flexible technology and well-coordinated project management, Koop is able to deliver its services on time and with the utmost precision.
Result
The A-Nord project clearly demonstrates the role of professional groundwater management in the realization of complex infrastructure projects. With its work, Koop is making an active contribution to the implementation of the energy transition in Germany.
