New natural gas transmission pipeline

afbeelding3-900x600

For the construction of a new natural gas transmission pipeline between Horrem and Bergisch-Gladbach in North Rhine-Westphalia, we were contracted by Denys for the dewatering work. The new DN900 steel pipeline is approximately 24 km long.

We constructed 90 deep wells on the route and in crossing areas to a depth of 9.50 m below ground level (GOK). In addition, a horizontal drainage pipeline 1 km long was laid at a depth of between 3.60 and 6 m below ground level. Gravity and vacuum filters were also flushed in.

At the peak of the project, 35 diesel pumps and 70 well pumps were operating simultaneously. Several km of discharge pipes up to DN300 were laid to divert the water to the discharge points.
