New railroad underpass

Worms_1

A spectacular contract for the construction of a rail underpass in Worms. The so-called troughs are manufactured on site so that they can be pushed under the track of the current railroad crossing.

In addition to the permitting process, Koop also provided the geohydrological calculations. A total of 12 300DN boreholes were drilled to a depth of 12 meters below the earth’s surface. To ensure safety, we are notified as soon as the pumps fail. The emergency power supply then takes over operational safety.

The groundwater is also monitored. As the water has to be diverted some 650 meters, a pressure station has been installed to ensure that the water covers this distance without any problems.

The Worms rail underpass is to be part of the so-called outer ring around the city.
