Learning together, building together: MINT water management project with Bonhoeffer College
Investing in the future – project after project.
Koop Bronbemaling recently had the pleasure of working with an extremely inspiring class from Bonhoeffer College in Enschede on a special MINT project focusing on water management. For eight weeks, the students tackled a realistic challenge: design and build a working miniature drainage system – similar to the systems we use in our practical projects.
With complete creative freedom and support from our team, the students immersed themselves in technology, sustainability, and collaboration. Working in four teams, they progressed step by step from idea to prototype: selecting materials, testing concepts, measuring, adjusting, and improving again. In this way, they not only learned how water management works, but also how important collaboration, perseverance, and accurate measurements are to achieving a reliable result.
At the end of the project, the four teams presented their designs and innovative solutions. The results were outstanding: from intelligent mechanisms for regulating water flow to well-thought-out constructions that combine stability and effectiveness. The creativity and insight shown by the students made a big impression.
We are very proud to support this initiative. For us, it is a great way to give back to the community and inspire the next generation of engineers and thinkers. By exchanging knowledge and developing practical solutions together, we are bringing education and practice closer together – exactly what the future requires.
Many thanks to Hans Vester and all the wonderful students for this fantastic collaboration.
The future starts here.
